Tamerlane's Master Reproductions on canvas..

“As a young painter, I enjoyed going to all the cool museums in New York City. Whether it was uptown in Spanish Harlem at Museo del Barrio (104th St. & 5th Ave.), or at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in mid-town (53rd St. & 5th Ave.). I was like a kid in a candy store. God bless ‘field trip’ days! While some saw this as an opportunity to clown around, I saw it as a chance to grow and learn. The tours simply was not enough… I would return to sit in front of the Masters’ paintings and draw for hours. I was fascinated by the details in each piece. The lines, colors, and shapes they used to create such beautifully powerful works lead me to imagine about the artists themselves; how / where they lived and what inspired them to create. I also imagined that someday my art too would be worthy enough to hang in cool galleries like these great painters. Today, I have recreated some of my favorites to display to the world. I love art, and this is how I show my appreciation for those who first inspired me”.
